Apps
It already works on your phone. The native versions are coming.
Today: the browser, and your home screen
bearoff runs in any modern browser, on a phone as happily as on a laptop - the board is drawn to fit whatever it is on. You do not need an app to play, and you never will.
It also installs. On an iPhone, open it in Safari, press Share and then Add to Home Screen; on Android, Chrome offers Install from its menu. Either way you get an icon, a full screen with no browser furniture around it, and notifications when it is your turn - which is most of what the native apps will add, available now.
iPhone coming soon
A native iPhone app is in progress. Until it is on the App Store there is nothing to download, and any listing claiming otherwise is not ours.
Android coming soon
A native Android app is planned. Until it is on Google Play there is nothing to download, and anything offered as a file to sideload from somewhere is not ours.
How you will hear
If you have an account, the announcement goes to the address you signed in with - you can turn that off, and everything else we send, in Preferences. If you would rather just ask, write in.
